International jazz day is on April 30, but Filipinos, we know how to stretch a good party. Coconuts-approved Tago Jazz Cafe in Cubao, Quezon City is celebrating international jazz day over 6 glorious days, starting tonight, Tuesday all the way to Sunday.

Opening the party on Tuesday are the big band Brass Munkeys. Wednesday features Balooze, Riki Gonzales, Nicole and Carla David, and RSO.

On Thursday, which is the actual international jazz day, Tago will be hosting an all-star cast: Ryan Villamor Trio, Swingster Syndicate, Baihana, and Skarlet.

A satellite gig will also happen at Back to the ‘90s bar in Timog, where the JR Oca Experience, Manila Sky, Escolta 3am, and the Paolo Blaquera Trio will be playing.

On Friday, the RJ Torres Trio will take over Tago. On Saturday, it will be Pete Canzon. The Northbound Central and an open jam will end the 6-day long jazz festivities.

All gigs start at 9pm, and they’re all for free.

9pm. Tago Jazz Cafe, 14 Main Ave, Cubao, Quezon City.
