Do your tired eyeballs need a break from consuming a barrage of content through digital screens?

Page sniffers, this one’s for you. One of the country’s major bookstores, Fully Booked, opened up its virtual shelves yesterday, allowing old school readers (none of that Kindle stuff, thanks) to have a fresh round of physical books and miscellaneous printed reading materials shipped to them amid the enhanced community quarantine.

Shipping is free when you cart PHP2,000 (US$39) worth of books, and cash on delivery is an option for Metro Manila customers.

The bookstore will be using couriers LBC, Access Freight, and PAYO to deliver the books, as well as same-day delivery services like Grab, Lalamove, and Transportify.

No need to register to purchase books, but expect delays in delivery in light of the lockdown. Provincial deliveries will take at least seven days from purchase.

Browse our online shelves to find your next great read and get it straight at your doorstep at Which new read are you looking forward to?

Excited to cart but don’t know where to start? The online store has a featured collections section, including one on humor, which we all badly need during this time. And it includes titles from comedians Ali Wong (Dear Girls) and Tina Fey (Bossy Pants).

To quote the bookstore, “Which new read are you looking forward to?”
