A lot of people have been anticipating the remake of the ABS-CBN hit soap Pangako Sa’yo, so all eyes (well, a lot, not all) were glued to Channel 2 last Monday, May 25, 2015, when the show premiered.
As expected, its lead stars, Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla, were not yet part of the pilot; it focused on the love story of the characters of Jodi Sta. Maria and Ian Veneracion.
Despite this, the show still got good ratings.
According to AGB Nielsen, it was on top among Mega Manila households with 22.8%, beating GMA 7’s Let the Love Begin (19.2%).
And then based on the national ratings of Kantar Media, it got a 34% rating over Let the Love Begin’s 15%.
