Despite the fame, Solenn Heussaff claims: ‘I never changed!’

Solenn Heussaff is born to a French father and a Filipino mother. But judging from how much she loves the Philippines, you could say she’s full-on Pinoy.

Of course, the GMA actress also relishes the Pinoy Christmas. This season is especially important for her, as this is her first Christmas as wife to Nico Bolzico.

This is also her time to finally spend quality time and relax with her family. You may not have noticed, but Solenn is among the busiest actresses in showbiz today. She is part of the daily fantasy series Encantadia and the comedy show A1 Ko Sa’Yo. Earlier this year, she also became a reality TV star care of the E! Asia show It Girls.

She also has a number of business ventures. It will be difficult to find an actress more hardworking than Solenn this year. Still, the 31-year-old star has remained down-to-earth and humble despite all her successes.

“I never changed. From day one sa showbiz, how I am or how I am sa TV, it’s the same,” she said.

What does she like about the Pinoy Christmas? “May snow (sa France) pero wala masyadong lights. ‘Yun ang gusto ko rito sa Philippines. Mahilig tayong mag-decorate. Kahit hindi pa Christmas, three months before, Christmas na agad. You hear Christmas songs on the radio. Sa bawat kanto, may Christmas lights na. You really feel the joy and spirit.”

(There is snow in France but no much lights or decorations. That’s what I like about the Philippines. We like decorating. Three months before Christmas, you can already feel the holiday spirit. You hear Christmas songs on the radio. You can see Christmas light on every street corner. You really feel the joy and spirit.)

She also loves cooking. “We always have cheese, caviar and ham, which is my favorite every Christmas.” Solenn currently endorses Holiday Ham by CDO Premium. “It’s for everybody who believes in giving themselves the best of everything.”

“When I’m not working, mas gusto kong magpahinga, nasa bahay lang, nagpi-paint or nagluluto. Those are the things that I enjoy doing,” Solenn added.
