The camp of Mary Christine Jolly, the estranged wife of actor Derek Ramsay, has issued a press release about the latest issue (for lack of a better word) between the couple.
Warning: Kris Aquino now figures prominently in the debacle.
Below is the full text of the said press release, which was issued on Wed, Oct 15:
Atty. Argee Guevarra, the legal counsel of the wife of Derek Ramsay, today assailed what he describes as the stage-managed concert date of Derek Ramsay and presidential sister Kris Aquino which was reported in TV Patrol yesterday as political messaging of Derek’s state of “untouchability.”
“Derek Ramsay seeks to communicate with my client, and insinuate to Sec. Leila De Lima and to the Paranaque prosecutor’s office that he is ‘untouchable’ and he is ‘above the law’ since he is dating the sister of the most powerful man in the country”, says Guevarra.
According to Guevarra, “the video clip of a blushing Kris and a pretending-to-be-coy Derek was viewed by Derek’s son, Austin, who expressed his emotional distress and discomfort of seeing his father with another woman and who wondered aloud about the fact that his father can spend time with other women but not with him.”
Guevarra resonates the hurt feelings of Austin whose recollection of the 4 occasions in 3 years were themselves uneventful as Austin complained of being comingled with Derek’s nephew and nieces while Derek spends most of the time signing autographs for his admirers; and the only conversation that took place between father-and-son was Derek’s constant boasts about his abs and his ownership of an Audi R8 and a Ferrari.
Guevarra warned that the dating video of Kris and Derek could serve as evidence in the Anti-Violence Case Against Women and their Children. “The video demonstrates in graphic detail the psychological abuse being inflicted by Derek on his wife and child as he slaps and mocks them – and even the entire public – with his shameless display of womanizing and philandering, especially so that he thinks he can flout at the law with impunity on the sheer basis of his intimacy with the presidential sister.”
Finally, Guevarra wished Kris in this vein, “As I have truly cared for your well-being and bid you all the happiness in the world 13 years ago despite the hurtful words we’ve said to each other, I hope that you will see the deceit behind Derek’s amorous advances as his devious attempt to use you to gain legal advantage in the criminal cases he is facing and will further face. I continue to wish both of us all the happiness in the world which Fate denied us. As I remain your true friend, I assure you that you will not find the peace and happiness with a man like Derek Ramsay.”
