Four years after her well-loved TV show, Urban Zone, stopped airing on ABS-CBN, host Daphne Oseña-Paez is again showing us beautiful houses in the Philippines via a TV special she is co-hosting called Best Houses Philippines.
It debuted on Lifestyle Network last March 13, and will be airing its second (and final) episode at 10:30pm on Mar 20.

The special is an offshoot of a TV program Down Under called Best Houses Australia, and it is the first time that its host and producer Gary Takle is featuring Asian homes, and only those in the Philippines.
Houses featured include Rico and Nena Tantoco’s weekend home in Santa Elena, Gelo Mañosa’s modern tropical home, a modern Asian beach house by Cara de Ocampo, a house designed by Ivy and Cynthia Almario for their sister, and a Filipino house made of reclaimed materials from old homes. There’s also wood master Benji Reyes’ home in Antipolo.

The best part of working with the team, she told us, was seeing how the foreign crew were so used to multi-tasking. Even Takle would be involved in the production work, like holding a reflector while the cameraman attempted to take a good shot.
“It was an absolute joy working with the Australian production team of host/producer Gary Takle. From the success of the show, Best Houses Australia, it has traveled to this part of Asia to discover our breathtaking home architecture,” wrote Oseña-Paez on her Instagram account.
