It’s a miracle! Culture Club, the iconic British band from the ’80s fronted by Boy George, dropping by Manila for a two-night concert in June.
The concert is part of a world tour on the heels of a new album, Tribe, and takes the group around the United States and as far as Australia. Manila is the only Asian stop — so far.
The last time the group dropped an album was in 1999. Culture Club is composed of Boy George (lead vocals), Jon Moss (drums), Mikey Craig (bassist) and Roy Hay (guitar).
Formed in 1981 in London, Culture Club’s hits include “Do You Really Want To Hurt Me?,” “Karma Chameleon,” “Miss Me Blind,” and “Love is Love.”
Culture Club featuring Boy George: Live in Manila is on Jun 17 & 18, 8pm, at SMART Araneta Coliseum. Tickets PHP2,000, PHP3,500, PHP5,5000, PHP10,500, PHP13,500 and PHP15,000 via Ticketnet.com.ph.
