Singer Charice has finally confirmed what a lot of us kind of already know: She’s lesbian. This she revealed in an exclusive interview with Boy Abunda on “The Buzz” yesterday, June 2.
“Opo, tomboy po ako,” she said, adding that she had the chance to come out internationally but she chose to do it locally “dahil malaki ang utang na loob ko sa mga Pilipino dahil na-feel ko na gusto ko na sila yung makaalam kung ano ako, or kung sino ako.”
The “Pyramid” singer also admitted that she’s been having some misunderstandings with her mother lately but that all that’s normal between a mother and daughter. Her message for her mother and brother: “Sorry, Mommy, Carl pero ito ako. Proud ako sa sarili ko at mahal ko ang sarili ko kaya ko ginagawa ito.”
For her fans, she said, “Sa mga fans ko na alam ko marami sa inyo disappointed. Alam ko nga siguro yung iba sa inyo tatalikuran ako, sorry. Alam niyo na sincere akong tao. From the bottom of my heart, sorry. Naiintindihan ko kayo.”
She also said, “Gusto kong humingi ng patawad sa mga hindi nakaintindi. Sa mga hindi makakaunawa, sa mga hindi ako matatanggap, sorry po. Naiintindihan ko po kayo. Pero sa mga tanggap po ako, maraming, maraming salamat po.”
