They say that listening to all of Andrea Bocelli’s albums in the world won’t ever compare to seeing him live in concert.
Well, Manila, we have have a chance to see the renowned tenor perform on stage as Music Management International (MMI Live) brings him to the Mall of Asia Arena on Apr 26 for his Cinema World Tour concert.
The first half of his performance will feature duets from the world’s most famous operas, featuring soprano Maria Katzarava and flautist Maestro Andrea Griminelli.
The second half is dedicated to the legend’s popular repertoire and select songs from his latest album Cinema.
Expect to hear timeless tracks from movies like Doctor Zhivago, Love Story, The Godfather, Life is Beautiful, Il Postino, Breakfast at Tiffany’s, and many more.
Pinoy talent will shine as the ABS-CBN Philharmonic Orchestra and the Ateneo Chamber Singers will join him on stage.
This is his second time in Manila. In 2004, the classical tenor dazzled the Filipino audience with an all-Filipino orchestra.
The 57-year-old has done duets with bonafide pop stars Celine Dion, Jennifer Lopez and Ariana Grande. He has performed for three presidents of the US and three Popes. He has a star on the Holywood Walk of Fame. And he is a recepient of Italian knighthood.
