Kim Idol has been suffering from extreme headaches; he also bumped his head against the wall which affected his vision, so he was rushed to hospital on Jan. 28, 2015, according to a StarTalk report on April 25, 2015. The doctors said that the comedian has Brain AVM (arteriovenous malformation), the abnormal flow of blood to his brain’s blood vessels, and needs an operation.
He needs to raise PHP700,000 for it, and said that his manager is planning a benefit show this June to help him with the expenses.
“I’m taking things positively,” he said. “Imbes na mawalan ako ng pag-asa, magmukmok, magreklamo, kasi talaga ang bilin sa akin ng doktor, wag daw ako magtrabaho, magpahinga lang ako, pero sabi ko sa friends ko, ‘I’d rather die onstage than die in bed.’ Kaya yun, mas gugustuhin kong mag-peform; at least makakalimutan ko yung sakit ko.”
