Remember Banig? As in Josephine “Banig” Roberto?
You know, that little girl with that big voice? She first came to our attention when she joined Ang Bagong Kampeon when she was just eight years old. She then went to represent the country in the US talent show Star Search, where she ended up as the winner. Guest performances in shows like The Arsenio Hall Show, Into the Night with Dick Rees, Maury Povich Show, and Good Day LA, made Americans fall in love with this little Whitney Houston.
It’s been a while since we last heard from her, and interestingly, she never really left the biz. She’s actually had solo concerts in places like The Hollywood Palladium, Wiltern Theater, and the Trump Taj Mahal, according to gmanetwork.com, and that she’s had some albums and hit singles in the US.
And now she’s back. She’s also using her real name: Josephine Roberto; no more Banig. Not only is she ready to share her new song/video “He Wants to get It,” but she is also excited to go back onstage.
