Just like everyone else, we got intrigued when Claudine Barretto said yes to a photo shoot that flaunted her scars and wounds on her thighs, making everyone assume that Raymart Santiago is the reason behind those.
Of course, there were those who didn’t believe her, questioning the wounds and scars.
This prompted Clau Clau’s lawyer, Atty. Ferdinand Topacio, to post last Sunday on Twitter some old photos of a “battered” Claudine, showing how she was able to cover up bruises on her face.
Interestingly, Raymart Santiago’s camp came out with photos of Claudine supposedly taken in 2010, when she had bandages on her face, suggesting that Claudine is not a battered wife because, as his photos prove, Claudine – complete with bandages on her face – was having so much fun with Raymart and some relatives.
In response to Raymart’s photos, Atty. Topacio asked, “Why the violent reaction? To use a colloquialism, ‘defensive much?’” The lawyer explained that they didn’t mention Raymart’s name and they didn’t accuse anyone of anything; they were just emphasizing the magic of makeup, especially for someone like Claudine, an actress who “would certainly be loathe to parade her scars in public.”
