Mariel de Leon, the daughter of Christopher de Leon and Sandy Andolong failed to win a crown during the 2013 Binibining Pilipinas beauty pageant so she is now trying her luck in showbiz. in fact, she’s already taking acting workshops in ABS-CBN to prepare her for a showbiz career.
However, she’s not closing her doors on beau-cons. She told ABS-CBN News: “Actually when I was in Bb. Pilipinas last year, I knew na I really wasn’t ready because I was still 19. That’s pretty young. I just wanted to try it muna, like dip the toes in the water. Of course when I didn’t win anything, I was sad, of course. Pero I realized na later on, good thing I didn’t win because if I did, I knew I wasn’t ready so I wouldn’t bring home anything. Better to not win.”
Pressure is kinda high since she has Christopher for a father and Sandy for a mother. We’ll see.
