President Rodrigo Duterte’s State of the National address gets a thumbs up — as far as our celebrities are concerned.

Showbiz personalities like Vice Ganda, Coleen Garcia, and Sunshine Cruz took to social media to weigh on Duterte’s first SONA — where the president tackled Federalism and human rights, among others — on Mon, Jul 25.

Their tweets and comments have been generally positive, some even said that they feel hopeful and inspired after Duterte’s more than an hour and a half speech.

“As an ordinary citizen of this country I will continue to pray for the President. I will let God guide him. God bless President Duterte,” Vice said.

 

 

Duterte’s love for the country is “genuine,” said actress Coleen Garcia.

“I don’t know about you guys, but I have so much love and respect for our President. Wonderful leader!” she also said, describing the SONA as “simple, straightforward, sincere.”

 

 

Ruffa Gutierrez found Duterte “honest and hilarious.”
