CBCP official tells Kris to stay away from politics

An official of the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of the Philippines gave a piece of unsolicited advice to President Benigno Aquino III’s sister Kris Aquino: She should stay away from politics.

Fr. Melvin Castro, the CBCP-Episcopal Commission on Family and Life executive secretary reacted to reports that TV celebrity Kris Aquino might be running for governor of Tarlac in 2016.

Fr. Castro said that keeping Kris away from politics would keep the integrity of the Aquino name intact.  Citing delicadeza (propriety), Fr. Castro said that Kris should set an example by not perpetuating the Aquino family in power, ABS CBN News reported.
