Action star Robin Padilla, who was among several supporters of President Rodrigo Duterte in Hong Kong yesterday, was caught on camera shoving a man in public while a fan tried to get a selfie with him.
The incident happened in a hotel lobby and not at the Tapang at Malasakit (Bravery and Concern) Alliance for the Philippines rally held in Hong Kong’s Central neighborhood the Duterte supporters attended.
In the video, you can see Filipino fans approaching the star for selfies when a white man of unknown origin tries to get in front of a Filipino woman and signals her to step away so he can take a picture with Padilla.
The actor, visibly irritated by the move, shoves the foreigner and shouts at him: “don’t do that to my countryman!”
The foreign man apologizes, but Padilla says, “no, don’t push her.”
Padilla has yet to issue a statement on the incident. Coconuts reached out to Padilla for his side of the story and will update once they respond.
The Pilipinas Got Talent judge also made headlines last month after scolding a Korean contestant on television for not knowing how to speak Tagalog properly.
