We just found out that Carlos Agassi recently split ways with his non-showbiz girlfriend, Margo Midwinter.
The 34-year old actor and the 26-year old Filipino-British were together for two years before they broke up last year. They were actually engaged, Carlos giving her a ring a year after being together, and right before she went back to France, where she is based.
So why did they break up? Carlos shared with Rey Pumaloy of Pep.ph that his mom played a part in the split. Admitting he’s a mama’s boy, Carlos explained, “I care so much for my brothers, na how you treat my mom or how you treat my brother is very important to me. If my mother doesn’t like you and my brother doesn’t like you, even if I like you, well…”
He further explained that he already wanted to get married but that Margo didn’t want to yet. “So yun na yun,” said Carlos, who believes that you don’t outgrow being a mama’s boy. “Lahat ng sinasabi niya, matimbang sa akin.”
Oh, and in case you’re wondering about the ring. It’s still with Margo, according to Carlos.
