90s kids, this one’s for you.
Bone Thugs-N-Harmony is coming back to Manila on September 5 for a concert at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City, event organizer Ovation Productions’ Facebook page announced in a video yesterday.
The hip-hop group started out in the early 90s in Ohio and is composed of rappers Layzie Bone, Krayzie Bone, Bizzy Bone, Wish Bone, and Flesh-N-Bone. (Apparently, they all took on the last name “Bone” in their stage names to acknowledge the “bone-deep bond between them.”)
They won a Grammy in 1996 for Best Rap Performance by a Duo or Group with their hit Tha Crossroads from their album E. 1999 Eternal.
In 1995, they were nominated for Best Rap Performance by a Duo or Group for 1st Of Tha Month and Best Rap Album for E. 1999 Eternal. The group is also known for hits like Thuggish Ruggish Bone and Foe Tha Love of Money.
The last time Bone Thugs-N-Harmony was in town for a concert was in 2014.
Tickets will be out on Saturday, June 23 at SM ticket outlets or smtickets.com.
But for now, here’s the Tha Crossroads music video. Good luck getting it out of your head.
