Blind Pinay singer gets 3rd place in ‘France Got Talent’

May it be on stage or in real life, Alienette Coldfire is a true winner.

The blind Filipina who has an angelic voice finished third place on the talent show “France got Inceredible Talent” after giving a moving rendition of Jacques Brel’s “Quand on n’a que l’amour” (‘When love is all you have’).

Alienette Coldfire, or Katchry Jewel Golbin in real life, studied the French language for three years after finding inspiration from the song “La Vie En Rose” by Edith Piaf. She was invited to join the French talent show after someone saw her sing a French song on YouTube.

“Third place! That’s more than enough for a mere Francophile Who dreamed of nothing but a short vacation in France. Making it to a French talent show’s Grand finale is beyond my wildest dreams. That very first incroyable talent performance I gave already made me feel like a winner,” wrote the 25-year-old on her Facebook account.

Alienette thanked God, her family and her supporters.

She also thanked the French talent show for making her feel that she deserves her “place not only in the show but also in the entertainment industry.”

Congratulations!
