Blackpink in your area? No, it’s actually Filipino dancer AC Bonifacio.

Bonifacio is making waves online at the moment after two choreographers who work with Blackpink praised her dance cover of the K-pop girl group’s new song Kill This Love.

She posted the video on her YouTube channel on Wednesday and shared parts of it on Instagram shortly after. Blackpink choreographers Kiel Tutin and Kyle Hanagmi took notice and sang praises for her performance.

Hanagami simply said “yes” with four fire emojis in a comment on Bonifacio’s Instagram post.

Tutin, on the other hand, said AC “killed this,” with a fire emoji too, of course.

Fans were also taken by Bonifacio’s video, which now has 1,036,787 million views and 90,000 likes on YouTube. Her Instagram post also had 129,929 likes as of this article’s posting.

For reference, here’s Blackpink’s Kill This Love music video, which now has 239,105,834 views.

Bonifacio is a Filipino-Canadian dancer who rose to fame after winning the Philippine TV dance competition Dance Kids along with her partner Lucky Ancheta in 2016. They also previously appeared on The Ellen De Generes Show and performed during an Ariana Grande concert in Vancouver.

Getting a nod from Blackpink’s choreographers is a huge deal, especially as the girl group is becoming increasingly popular outside Asia. Composed of members Jennie, Rosé, Lisa, and Jisoo, the band became the first female K-pop group to perform in the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival last week.

During their recent visit to the United States, Blackpink also had a TV appearance on The Late Late Show with James Corden.

They previously performed in Good Morning America and The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.

Apart from Kill This Love, Blackpink is also known for their songs DDU-DU DDU-DU, BOOMBAYAH, and Kiss and Make Up, a collaboration with British singer Dua Lipa.

Blackpink was in the Philippines in February when they held a packed concert at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.
