That’s Benjie Paras’ love advice for his son Kobe.
Last Christmas, the younger Paras announced he was in a relationship with Filipino-American singer Gabrielle Current.
Benjie says he approves of her. “Nakilala ko na yun, dati pa. Mabait naman yung bata sa nakikita ko,” he told PEP.ph
But while he’s a-okay with Current, Benjie coupled his love advice with a levelheaded reminder. “Sabi ko sa kanya, ‘Alam mo yung rason bakit nandiyan ka — to have a good degree and to play basketball and to improve well, and be ready for college.’”
Kobe plays for the UCLA Bruins, as guard.
