Have you guys seen Spectre yet?
If you have, do you remember that beautiful satin dress Bond girl Lea Seydoux, who played Dr. Madeleine Swann, wore in the train for that fancy martini date with James Bond?
On new-ish website Preen, Olivia Estrada writes that it was Filipino designer Lesley Mobo who designed that immaculate dress.
“Called the ‘Salma Dress,’ the sleek and understated gown shows off Lea’s curves quite tastefully,” Estrada writes.
According to Sandra Pineda of Cosmo.ph, Mobo didn’t even know that the Salma dress, which he designed in 2013 for London high-street brand Ghost, made it to the to the latest Bond movie. “It was luck! It just happened, I was so surprised,” the designer told her.
Mobo posted a photo on Instagram a couple of days ago, and accompanied it with the caption, “I design dresses for Bond girls in my spare time.”
Mobo is a graduate of London’s Central Saint Martins school. Among the many celebrities who’ve worn his designs are Rihanna and Lana del Ray. His works also include “collaborations with Uniqlo and Absolut Vodka, an exhibit at the Victoria and Albert Musem,” continues the Preen report.
