There’s no doubt that the popularity of 28-year-old Sebastian “Baste” Duterte, son of President-elect Rodrigo Duterte, has risen to matinee idol levels.
Aside from having his father’s charisma, the younger Duterte is easy on the eyes, which is to say he is about 70% to 80% — heck, let’s say 90% — cuter than his dad.
Baste has always been upfront about having two kids: a girl when he was 22, and a boy when he was 26.
The two siblings have different moms.
His youngest son, Yair, turned two year olds this week and Baste celebrated it with the boy’s mom, former model Kate Necesario who is still very much Baste’s girlfriend.
Kate was in the photos of Yair’s birthday party, which were posted by Sara Duterte and Paolo Duterte on their respective social media pages.
This drove Baste’s fans nuts — as they remarked on how pretty Kate is. Many Baste fans also said they will now need buckets for their tears because they now know with certainty that they no longer have any chance of winning Baste’s heart.
The site Dutertenews.com recalled that when Kate was still active in modeling, she was actually featured on FHM Philippines’ Apr 2011 issue. Below are images of her modeling stint for the magazine. Kate was just 18 when the photos were taken.
But looking at her in her son’s birthday party photos, it seems that she looks even younger when she’s not on model mode. Dressed in t-shirt and pants, Kate strikes us as very down-to-earth, much like Baste is.
They look like they’re a perfect match.
