There’s nothing more awkward than running into your ex, especially when the whole world is watching.
On Sun, Oct 23, Jennylyn Mercado was named Best Drama Actress for her role in the GMA drama My Faithful Husband at the 30th Philippine Movie Press Club (PMPC) Star Awards For Television.
Jennylyn’s ex-boyfriend, Luis Manzano, was one of the hosts of the show, which was held at Novotel Manila in Quezon City.
Even more interesting: it was Luis who announced that Jennylyn won the coveted award.
The audience at Novotel Manila’s Grand Ballroom took notice. They shrieked and screamed when Luis said Jennylyn’s name.
Luis was on stage when Jennylyn delievered her acceptance speech. This may be the first time the two were seen together after their breakup in Oct 2013.
When Jennylyn gave the microphone back to Luis after her speech, the audience screamed again. Because showbiz ex-lovers reuniting is a thing now, if you didn’t know.
Was the brief interaction between the two former flames awkward? Well, that’s show business for you. One thing’s for sure, though — they probably shouldn’t mind.
The night before the awards, Luis went to the 10th Star Magic Ball with Jessy Mendiola, marking their first public appearance since they were rumored to be dating.
Jennylyn, meanwhile, is reportedly in a relationship with Dennis Trillo, who, at one point, was also her ex.
