Viral video of the week: ‘Bubble’ by Sebastian Castro

Sebastian Castro, an online personality with over 8,000 followers on Twitter and over 4,000 friends and over 13,000 followers on Facebook, happens to also be a singer, who just released his debut single with an accompanying music video last Valentine’s Day. Called “Bubble,” the song is an admittedly addicting electro-pop gem seemingly about, well, butts and blowjobs and other naughty stuff like those.

If you think those are controversial, go watch the video.

Shot in motel Victoria Court, the first scene shows a geeky Sebastian in the gym locker, where he gets approached by one of the gymrats (portrayed by him as well) and is offered, well, something sexual.

And then you see Sebastian, complete with macho dancer-type back-up dancers – all of them wearing a bowtie – doing the “Bubble Pop” dance step, which is both hmmm- and giggle-inducing at the same time. I have a feeling this “Bubble Pop” dance step will go viral – “Gangnam Style”-level even (with the right push and gimmicks, of course). Let’s see.

For the second half of the song, Sebastian is at a clinic for a physical exam, and the doctor ends up giving him head.

Filled with lots of gyrating topless men, literal bubble-popping, and that very entertaining “Bubble” dance step, this twinkilicious video from the openly gay singer-songwriter is a nice first solo musical effort, which is entertaining enough (controversial, too) that people are taking notice. In fact, the hashtags #BUBBLE and #SEBASTIANCASTRO even trended on Philippine Twitter recently.

So will we see people making their own “Bubble” videos? Hopefully, for entertainment’s sake.

What I can’t wait to see, however, is Sebastian Castro’s sophomore release. Will it be another sexy and controversial song/video, or something a little more serious that will showcase another side of this online celebrity?
