For some people Elvie Villasanta may be “just” the mother of comedian Ariel of the comic duo Ariel and Maverick, but for others, Mommy Elvie is a star in her own right. After all, she was really the star of several reality shows such as “The Misadventures of Maverick and Ariel,” “Mommy Elvie’s Problematic Show,” and Mommy Elvie @ 18.”
The sad news is that Mommy Elvie already passed away. After a year-long battle with breast cancer, she passed away last Friday, Feb. 8, at age 84.
According to reports, Mommy Elvie spent the last three weeks of her life confined at the St. Luke’s Medical Center.
Inquirer reported that Mommy Elvie’s remains will lie at the Christ the King Church in Green Meadows, Quezon City from Feb. 10 to 13, as announced by Ariel in a TV show yesterday.
