The future seemed bleak for Sweet after his regular show on GMA 7, “Showbiz Central,” ended last year, after five years. He didn’t have any other regular shows, according to Inquirer. Good thing he was doing some other projects, such as “Talentadong Pinoy” on TV5 and the movie “Si Agimat, Si Enteng at Si Ako” for the Metro Manila Film Festival.
So imagine his delight and surprise when his former home network, ABS-CBN, asked him to come back. It was actually ABS-CBN business unit head Deo Endrinal who asked him if he was ready to return. Now Sweet is part of the new drama series “Kahit Konting Pagtingin” together with Angeline Quinto, Paulo Avelino, Sam Milby and Bangs Garcia.
There’s no exclusive contract signing yet, but Sweet seems to be fine. Who does he want to work with now? “I would love to do a project with Coco Martin! I hope I get the chance since his manager (Biboy Arboleda) used to be my manager as well,” he said. “And of course, John Lloyd Cruz, who’s on my wish list.”
