Congrats to Pinoy actor, writer and director Joel Trinidad! His short play “Witchslap” will be part of the short-play festival in New York called “February Flurries: Winter One Acts.” The festival will run at The Producers’ Club from Feb. 8 to 10.
“My first short play to be produced by someone else! I’m so excited!!! Break a leg, everyone!!!” Joel commented on the Facebook page of Love Creek, whose Brief Acts division is mounting the festival.
So what’s the play about? It’s a love spell gone wrong, according to the website BroadwayWorld.
Joel sent his “Witchslap” script to Love Creek Productions last year, when he was in New York. He wrote the lyrics to the musical “Rivalry” (catch it at the Meralco Theater) and he will also star in “No Way to Treat a Lady” soon, according to ABS-CBN News.
