J.San’s first single off her debut album “Me, You and the Music” is called “Tonight,” and its music video is also already out.
The verdict? Generic, disappointing, oh well.
The song, for starters, sounds like it was made for no one in particular and just ended up given to Jessica. It’s catchy but not THAT catchy — no LSS potential. In fact, a voice in my head is singing that “Jump In” song right now, surprisingly. And, seriously, a collab? With Ne-Yo??? She should have gone for the young, fresh, cute and unexpected “Fairytale.”

As for the video, the “projection thing” is so gasgas already. The dance showdown has been done a million times, too. Good thing Little J surprised me with a semi-slutty, kinda-not-for-her-age-but-we’re-loving-it dance routine that got my eyebrow shooting up to the high heavens, but in a good way.
Boo: that silver cocktail dress near the end of the video looked out of place.
Yay: lovely eyebrows and eye makeup. Looking fresh and fierce, J! We’re sure booty-popping DeAndre agrees.

Jessica just performed the song on “American Idol,” together with Ne-Yo, of course, and despite the so-so-ness of the song, she nailed/slayed (terms that should die, but are still acceptable to use when you don’t have any other cool word available) it.
Girl got confidence.
Danced her butt off.
Glad Bebe Chez took over.
PS. She looks like Ella Mae Saison pala.
