Jessica Sanchez will be holding her major solo concert tonight at the Smart Araneta Coliseum, and she’s been doing the promo rounds. She’s been talking a lot about her debut album, too.
When she was a guest on “Mornings@ANC” last Wednesday, she said that her newest song is called “Tonight” and that it will be released in the US this month. The song, which is a collaboration with Grammy award winner Ne-Yo, is “a fun clubby dance song,” according to Jessica. Very different from the big ballads and love songs she used to sing in “American idol.”
“I just wanted to show people that I’m still young and fresh. The album consists more of a younger sound, it will be radio-friendly. There are still ballads but I definitely wanted to go for what I always wanted to do – more radio-friendly, more showing like I’m still 17, just have fun and dance,” she said.
Although the song will already be released this month, the album is scheduled to drop in May, according to ABS-CBN News.
