“Bullying is a widespread and serious problem that can happen anywhere.  It is not a phase children have to go through, it is not ‘just messing around’ and it is not something we just grow out of.  Bullying can cause serious and lasting harm,” NOT IN OUR SCHOOL says on its website.

The campaign itself is part of a larger campaign called The Bully Project, “a (US) national movement to stop bullying that is transforming kids’ lives and changing a culture of bullying into one of empathy and action.”

The Bully Project was inspired by Bully, a 2011 documentary on bullying in US schools. Part of the campaign, a joint project of Jesuit Basic Education Commission and Solar Entertainment Corp., is to screen the film in the Philippines.
