Right after the 2012 Miss Universe telecast on ABS-CBN, a news flash was shown featuring reporter Ginger Conejero interviewing Jaypee Santos, the boyfriend of 2012 Miss Universe 1st runner-up Janine Tugonon.
The interview took place in Commonwealth, Quezon City, and Jaypee thanks all of Janine’s fans, including his officemates who stayed up all night to support her.
Asked how he feels about the 1st runner-up win, he said, “Sobrang saya at sobrang ganda ng regalo niya sa Pilipinas.”
Jaypee, who said that he hasn’t slept for 48 hours, shared that he and Janine talked earlier this morning. He said that Janine sounded very calm and confident; he was the one who seemed more nervous about the competition.
Jaypee added, “Respetuhin na lang natin yung mga binigay ng judges. Dapat maging masaya tayo.”
Incidentally, the two are celebrating their eighth month anniversary today.
