Andrew Wolff is famous for being a part of the Volcanoes, the Philippine rugby team. He is also popular for being an actor and a model not so long ago. Recently, he became an entrepreneur, starting an events company. Now, he may just add Mr. World to his resume.
Andrew just flew to Kent, Englad for the upcoming Mr. World Pageant taking place this Nov. 24. He was appointed by Cory Quirino, who is the licensee of Mr. World Philippines, to be the country’s representative to the international competition.
According to a story on Manila Standard Today, no pageant happened in the Philippines because of lack of time. A panel of judges just chose a representative from the 20 entries submitted by talent and modeling agencies. Andre ended up as the top choice especially because of his athletic background, which is needed in the international pageant. Cory explained, “The reason for this move is that Mr. World is a brain and brawn pageant, and we wish to make a strong showing in sports and endurance challenge of the competition.” After all, the Mr. World Pageant isn’t your usual beauty pageant that chooses a winner based on looks alone. Held every two years, it follows a theme and has qualifying competitive events such as sports and the talent portion. They are even introducing the Army Assault Course, which definitely makes the competition even more unique.
With his athletic background, good looks and charm, we think Andrew has a great chance of winning the title.
Good luck, Andrew!
