Stephanie Retuya, the Philippines’ bet to the recently-concluded “Asia’s Next Top Model,” didn’t win in the reality show competition, but it sounds as if she’s not that bitter about losing. She posted on her Twitter page after the contest: “For everyone who continuously supported me on this once in a lifetime journey thank you so much!!!! God Bless Everyone!”
She even congratulated the Thailand’s Jessica Amornkuldilok, the fierce one who beat her. The 23-year old Pinay tweeted, “Congratulations @Jessica_amorn !!! No more crying okay? :-):-):-) see you soon dear!”
Ending up second place isn’t that bad, actually, especially for Stephanie, who was part of the bottom two and never won best photo in the Asian version of “America’s Next Top Model.”
Still, it’s too bad she almost brought home not just the title, but also a lot of cool prizes: a modelling contract with Storm Models, a trip to London, a cover shoot with Harper’s Bazaar magazine, a gig with Canon Ixus, a brand new Subaru XV, and US$100,000.
