Photo: Farley del Rosario’s ‘Spa’, inspired by a Rembrandt painting’
This exhibition of large works on canvasses – from 3×3 feet to 6×8 feet – by over 20 artists is partly a fundraising drive for artists who were affected by Typhoon Odette and the subsequent flooding it caused in Olongapo, which has been placed under a state of calamity since Monday.
Farley del Rosario, one of the participating artists, is from there. He is joined by Maria Candida Flores, Camille Ver, Edwin Tres Reyes, Ed Coronel, Ranelle Dial, Leo Velasco, Leopoldo Aguilar, and Raffy David. Among the more senior and established names showcased are Ephraim Samson, Mariano Madarang, Dante Silverio, Jeff Dizon, Oscar Navarro, Caloy Gabuco, Grace Marie Katigbak, Kiko Escora, Louie Ignacio, Roger San Miguel, Paul Dimalanta, Vidal Alcoseba, Tony Alcoseba, Lyle Buencamino, Manuel Ocampo and Bembol dela Cruz.
