Despite two sightings this month, showbiz insiders say there is no budding romance between John Lloyd Cruz and Maja Salvador.
Such a pairing would never happen, they insist.
Citing an unnamed source, Reggee Bonoan of Balita reports that Maja looks up to John Lloyd as an older brother. Maja’s nickname for John Lloyd is “Tatay,” said another source,
In a statement sent to the television program Tonight With Boy Abunda, Neneth Rustia, Maja and John Lloyd’s handler at ABS-CBN, also denied the rumors.
If they were really dating, they wouldn’t be posting photos of them together, especially John Lloyd, she said.
The two were spotted at a beach in Davao earlier this week. According to Pep.ph, the two were at Pearl Farm Beach Resort in Malipano Island.
They were also seen earlier this month watching the movie How To Be Yours, which stars Maja’s ex Gerald Anderson.
Maja is 27, while John Lloyd is 33.
