On Gandang Gabi Vice Sunday, Sam Milby threw people off the chair when he revealed that Anne Curtis is his ‘greatest love’ and that since their breakup in 2008, he hasn’t had a girlfriend. That’s seven long years of single blessedness!
The actor, who is celebrating 10 years in show business also shared it was a tough breakup for him. “Minsan feeling mo okay ka na, tapos makikita mo siya and argh.” Note: It was him who initiated the breakup.
“She’s my greatest love until now, puwedeng sabihin yan, but I don’t think she’s the one that got away,” he clarifies. He implied that she may not really be the girl for him, and that he’s still looking for The One.
Anne and Sam became a couple in the first quarter of 2007. Around September of that year, their relationship became woozy.
“He asked to stop exclusively dating. Kailangan niya siguro i-concentrate ang entire relationship naming with God. Medyo mahirap pero I understand,” Anne said in a 2008 interview with PEP.ph.
And now, Anne is happily with Erwan Heussaff, while Sam is still very much single.
We picked up a couple of learnings: (1) Guess, it’s true what James Ingram said: “There’s no easy way to break somebody’s heart” and (2) when you accept and let go like Anne did, the universe will reward you.
