Our Fil-Am bet may have given an “A+” performance (if you ask judge Jennifer Lopez, but that didn’t stop her from landing in the Bottom 3 this week. Malaya’s rendition of Bruno Mars’ “Runaway Baby” didn’t have everyone applauding; judge Harry Connick, Jr. Said that “it went off the rails” while judge Keith Urban told her that she should learn how to put her energy into a performance.
Also part of the Bottom 3 were out lesbian MK Nobilette and Wild Card finalist Kristen O’Connor, who eventually went home, after an awful rendition of Kelly Clarkson’s “Beautiful Disaster.” Interestingly, this season’s send-off song is Kelly Clarkson’s “Breakaway.”
Looks like no one will be signing any more Kelly Clarkson songs this season.
