MANILA – While thanking all who sent their condolences to their family, stylist Alyanna Martinez appealed for some privacy as she and her family continue to grieve for former actress Liezl Martinez, who passed away last Saturday after years of battling breast cancer.

In her Instagram account on Monday morning, Martinez posted a dramatic photo of an empty chapel at the Heritage Park.

“I have never seen the Aeternum so quiet and beautiful and peaceful as it is now with no one around. It is usually so noisy and chaotic. Last ones ‘standing’ with #QueenBabyChanel to keep me company as we spend Mama’s physical body’s last day on earth together. Thank you to everyone who sent their condolences, sent over flowers and prayers cards and visited my family during this trying time to offer support and pay their respects,” she wrote in the caption.

In another Instagram post, she shared a photo of her mother’s coffin covered in flowers.

“With my beautiful Mama for the last time while she lays literally on a bed of roses also with a backdrop of a million beautiful white roses just like she wanted while I remain the last one ‘standing’ while everyone heads back home or asleep in their cars, laying on the ground in my sleeping bag right beside her. It;s been a crazy, stressful, chaotic and painful week. Now I can lay peacefully and in silence for the first time since all the madness began, alone beside her while we watch our last sunrise on earth together. I miss you and love you so much mama,” she wrote in the caption.

The young Martinez also noted that “the painful process now begins as we head back home later after her cremation ceremony to a home no longer with her and we start to slowly pick up the pieces and build together again our broken and grieving hearts.”

“Mama is in heaven now and all we ask is for everyone to respect my family’s privacy as we continue to grieve and heal,” she added.
