Can you believe that the actor waited for almost 20 years before getting a title role? Well, we’re pretty sure he’s grateful now that he has his own show, Beki Boxer, which will premiere this March 31. He’s portraying a gay man who is forced to be a boxer. Alwyn’s not new to portraying a gay role; he played the gay son of Ai-ai de las Alas in all four Ang Tanging Ina movies, plus he also portrayed a gay kontrabida in a TV5 fantasy series.
One thing to wait for? An exciting scene where Alwyn scratches the abs of his leading man, Vin Abrenica. He shared with Pep.ph that feeling awkward during intimate scenes is inevitable but that he and Vin are now talking about how to attack such scenes and make sure their rapport onscreen is obvious, since after their story conference they instantly taped for the show.
