Alma Moreno tells bashers: Don’t belittle me!

It looks like Alma Moreno is doing the media round after the elections. In preparation for a possible showbiz comeback, possibly?

Alma, 56, went on the ABS-CBN talk show Tonight with Boy Abunda on Thu, May 12 and discussed about her loss at the senatorial race (she’s currently ranked 24 in the partial and unofficial results) and her controversial interview with Karen Davila (she acknowledged the interviewed helped her in the election surveys).

But the actress-turned-politician turned emotional when the topic of online bashers was brought up. Alma recently revealed that her daughter Winwyn asked the popular parody Twitter account @LovelinessAlma to be taken down.

Alma is really taking the parody Twitter account very seriously. She said it’s painful for her to see her children  be affected by the bashing and insults she is getting online — due in part of to @LovelinessAlma’s tweets.

“Masakit.

She finds the tweets from the parody account to be insulting.

English?

It should be noted that Alma isn’t the celebrity to have popular parody Twitter accounts. Perhaps the most notable is the Marian Rivera parody account @superstarmarian. Maybe Alma should get tips from Marian on how to deal with social media bashers?
