MANILA – Alex Gonzaga denied that she was ever in a relationship with one of her “Inday Bote” leading men, Kean Cipriano.
In an interview with “The Buzz” on Sunday, Gonzaga explained that what she and Cipriano had in the past was nothing serious.
“Yung sa amin ni Kean, parang joke joke lang kasi may deadline. Nung hindi na kami close, hindi na lang kami nag-usap. Ganun lang. Parang natanggap na lang po namin. Hindi rin po kasi kami laging nagsasama,” she said.
She, however, admitted that she used to sneak out of their house to watch Cipriano’s gigs. “Totoo ‘yun. Kasi kilig na kilig ako kapag kikindatan niya ako,” she said.
Although she admitted that there were also times that they held hands, Gonzaga said it never came to a point that they said “I love you” to each other.
Despite their “past,” Gonzaga said there was no awkwardness between them when they started taping for “Inday Bote.”
Aside from Cirpriano, actor Matteo Guidicelli will also be Gonzaga’s leading man in the said TV series.
Gonzaga’s “Inday Bote” will not be the first time the Kapamilya network has translated the series for a TV audience. In 2010, Melai Cantiveros played the title role in a “Wansapanataym” special based on the comics.
“Inday Bote” will premiere on Monday before “TV Patrol.”
