All’s well that ends well for the former BFFs?
During a press conference on Mon, Oct 17, Ai-Ai delas Alas said she has forgiven Kris Aquino.
Kris and Ai-Ai used to be the closest of friends (they even did a number of projects together, including 2012 hit comedy movie Sisterakas). Their rift started in 2014, reportedly when Kris was unable to attend the wake of Ai Ai’s biological mother.
The two publicly reconciled during Marian Rivera and Dingdong Dantes’ wedding in Dec 2014. Obviously, that didn’t really renew their friendship.
Now, Ai-Ai seems to be ready to just let it go.
It was recently announced that the comedienne is set to receive a Pro-Ecclesia et Pontifice medal from Pope Francis. The recognition is the highest award given to lay people, Bishop Antonio Tobias said in an interview with GMA News Online.
“Yes, in my heart, pinatawad ko na siya,” Ai-Ai told Jojo Gabinete of PEP.
Ai-Ai, 51, said she apologized via text message to the people she may have hurt after finding out she will receive the Papal award.
But no, Ai-Ai did not send Kris a text message to apologize — because she does not know her new phone number.
But here’s to hoping they will finally mend fences. From the rumors going around, it seems Kris could use the support of a friend right now.
