According to ABS-CBN, Aga also watched Lea perform in the Broadway musical Once on This Island. Both of them were in the city with their families.

Your fans have been waiting for decades for a reunion movie, and all we get are your heartfelt letters to one another and joint TV appearances?
You’ve been talking about a reunion movie since 2013, and it has not happened yet. Why not?
Ok, we get it. You both have moved on. Aga’s doing other projects and Lea’s doing The Voice and is now back on Broadway in the musical Once on This Island.
But please forgive us if we haven’t quite gotten over it yet.
According to ABS-CBN News, earlier this year, many were disappointed when Lea said that her supposed movie project with Aga won’t be hitting cinemas anytime soon.
However, Aga, an 80s teen icon and veteran TV and movie star, assured that the reunion project would push through, even if not in the immediate future.
It’s been over 20 years since the two starred as a love team in the two successful movies Sana Maulit Muli (Hoping it will happen again) and Bakit Labis Kitang Mahal (Why I love you so much).
Will they come back as Jerry and Agnes in a Sana Maulit Muli sequel? Or Sammy and Tommy in Bakit Labis Kitang Mahal? Or will it be a totally new story for the two?
We don’t know, and honestly, what’s more important to Filipino fans is that the two get paired up again. Let’s hope they do it soon!
