Actor Richard Gutierrez, best known as the man-bird Aguiluz in the television show Mulawin, has ruffled the Bureau of Internal Revenue’s (BIR) feathers once again.
ABS-CBN News reported today that Gutierrez was sued by the department for allegedly submitting falsified documents including an annual income tax return, quarterly value-added tax returns, and perjured affidavits.
In April, the BIR filed a PHP38.57 million (about USD751,000) tax complaint against the actor and his production company.
Gutierrez has not said anything regarding the issue.
The actor was a long-time talent at the television network, GMA but is now part of the rival network, ABS-CBN’s series La Luna Sangre.
He is also part of the E! Asia reality show It Takes Gutz to be a Gutierrez.
