But get ready for it now that ABS-CBN has just announced that they are remaking the Fernando Poe Jr. movie Ang Probinsyano for TV. Portraying the late King of Philippine Movies is Coco Martin.
According to Bernie V. Franco of Pep.ph, Coco had to undergo police training, and study things like gun-handling and fight scenes.
It was also revealed that Coco played a big part in the conceptualization of the show. while the team wanted to do a police story, it was Coco who mentioned the FPJ movie, which led to it being remade and him being chosen for the role.
