When we first heard that the Gutierrez family was gonna have their own reality show (It Takes Gutz to Be a Gutierrez), only one thing – one family – came to mind: the Kardashians (and, of course, their show Keeping Up with the Kardashians). We bet you thought the same. Here are 8 similarities between the two fabulous showbiz families.
They are all fashionable
When it comes to the Kardashians, Kim is probably one of the most photographed Hollywood stars not just coz of her great sense of style but also because everyone wants to see how her huge ass would look like in whatever it is that she’s wearing. Khloe and Kourtney also owned the fashion boutique D-A-S-H together with Kim. Half sisters Kendall and Kylie Jenner have also invaded the fashion industry; Kendall does ramp, and both have designed for their line called Kendall & Kylie. As for Rob, he has a line of socks called Arthur George.
Among the Gutierrezes, Ruffa always steps out in style, has been dressed by the biggest names in local fashion, and has also been on the cover of fashion mags like Mega and Preview; her brother Raymond, on the other hand, is the fashion editor of Esquire Philippines, and always, always looks good. Someone is the star

You know how mother hen Kris Jenner always has a say when it comes to everything and how she gets her way every time (even if she has Hollywood stars as children)? Annabelle Rama is just like her. Tita Annabelle always has a say and always gets what she wants. She is the boss. All her kids follow her. I think it’s even safe to say that she’s got hubby Eddie Gutierrez wrapped around her finger. Their family is huge
Kris has four kids with the late Robert Kardashian: Kim, Kourtney, Khloe, and Rob. Kim is now married to Kanye West and they have a daughter named North. Kourtney has two kids with Scott Disick: Mason Dash and Penelope Scotland. When Kris remarried, she had two kids with Bruce Jenner: Kendall and Kylie. Bruce also has two kids from his first marriage (Burt and Casey), and another two from his second marriage (Brandon and Brody). As for the Gutierrezes, Eddie has six kids with Annabelle Rama: Ruffa (who has two daughters, Lorin Gabriella and Venezia Loran), twins Richard and Raymond, Elvis, Rocky, and Ritchie Paul. Everyone’s goodlooking
Oh, this is a no-brainer. You have to admit that Kris is one hot cougar. Khloe has all the right curves. Rob, well, used to be hot several pounds ago (and we’re still hoping he’d bounce back to his old hot self). Scott may not be the marrying type but don’t you just want to buy him? And Mason is such a cutie. As for the Gutierrezes, there is no denying that Eddie and Annabelle look good for their age. And go Google their old pics and you’ll appreciate them even more. Someone has a weight issue
It’s really, really sad how Rob ballooned into his present big self. It’s even got to the point where he had to skip sister Kim’s wedding to Kanye West just so he won’t be photographed with the family and feel bad about his weight problem. Rob’s kinda-counterpart would probably have to be Raymond since he used to be on the heavier side back when he was still with GMA 7. Kim had Kanye. Khloe had Lamar Odom. Kourtney had Scott. Rob had that Cheetah Girl. In It Takes Gutz to Be a Gutierrez, Richard has Sarah Lahbati. Now Sarah has gutz to be a Gutierrez, especially after Chard revealed during the pilot episode that, yes, they already have a baby. They have been part of scandals
The Kardashians are crazy. For starters, Kim posed for Playboy (her mom allegedly forced her to do it) and also had a sex tape. Khloe was once rumored to be the daughter of OJ Simpson. Kris Humphries (Kim’s hubby of 72 days) accused Kris of releasing Kim’s sex tape. Kendall was also criticized for modelling bikinis at 14. The Gutierrez family is so much tamer than the Kardashians but they also have their share of scandals. Ruffa was once rumored to be a Bruneiyuki beauty. Everyone also got bothered when pics and a video of Richard and Anne Curtis kissing leaked online. And oh, we don’t know even know where to start when it comes to the scandalous fights of Tita Annabelle with everyone, from Amalia Fuentes and Nadia Montenegro to Chito Alcid and Lolit Solis.
