7 reasons why we love ‘That’s My Tomboy’

1. It’s the first-ever beauty pageant for lesbians on Philippine national TV. We’ve done boys (“Mr. Pogi”), actual boys (“That’s My Boy”), actual girls (“Little Miss Philippines”), drag queens (“Super Sireyna”), and even domestic helpers (“Maid in the Philippines”). Why not lesbians, right?

2. There are talented guys out there. Look at Rejoice Faraon (1:50).

3. No, really. Look at MM aka Mariah Yvette (1:22).

4. There are attractive guys there. As in handsome, ha. Take, for example, Dorina/Ina, who’s kinda cute in a Candy Cuties kind of way.

5. It’s always fun to find out their real names. JM, for example, is Maria Josefina in real life.

6. It’s always fun to figure out who their male kaloka-likes are. Aljur Abrenica, isdatchu?

7. Some of them have female kaloka-likes, of course. Aiza Seguerra, isdatchu?

8. It sure made the guys of Eat Bulaga! go hmmm… Take, for example, how the noontime show just had to come up with their sort-of-answer to “That’s My Tomboy” called “That’s My Tambay”.
