After 4th Impact gave what everybody had been waiting for — they sang a ballad for the very first time — the all-girl Filipino group was voted out of X Factor UK Sunday evening (Monday morning, Manila time).
4th Impact received the least number of votes and ended up in the bottom two along with Lauren Murray.
The Pinays performed the Broadway classic “And I am Telling You” for their place in the competition, while Lauren Murray covered Mariah’s “Vision of Love.”
The show once again had to rely on viewer otes after the judges’ votes ended in a deadlock.
Simon Cowell and 4th Impact’s coach Cheryl Fernandez-Visini voted for the all-girl group, while Rita Ora and Nick Grimshaw were for Murray.
Unfortunately, 4th Impact had less votes than Murray and, therefore, was eliminated.
Minutes after the live show ended, one of the sisters, Celina, collapsed on stage anew.
“In an interview after the program, the girls’ mentor Fernandez-Versini said: ‘I was talking to her and she wasn’t engaging so I pulled her closer to ask if she was okay and she just passed out’,” reports ABS-CBNnews.com.
Celina was immediately tended to by the paramedics on site. She was “out cold for at least five minutes,” report Telegraph.co.uk.
