“The Apprentice Asia” will premiere on AXN this May 22 at 9:05pm and you have to tune in to see the two Pinoys that made it to the regional adaptation of the popular US reality series.

The first one is Jonathan Allen Yabut, a 27-year old senior product manager of a pharmaceutical company who has been a big fan of the show for the longest time. In fact, ever since he was in college, the University of the Philippines graduate already wanted to be part of the show so when he saw that there was going to be an Asian edition, he was so happy he jumped up and down. He’s actually the youngest contestant on the show but he didn’t feel any pressure because “there were both immature and mature people in the show.”

The other Pinoy contestant is Celina Le Neindre, a 30-year old food and beverage consultant who also did some modeling on the side. Obviously pretty, Le Neindre admits she did not use her looks or charm to try to get to the top. “I don’t think I tried, even once, to bat my lashes to Tony (the counterpart of Donald Trump in the Asian edition). It wouldn’t work. I didn’t even try, I didn’t even bother. I told myself, ‘okay, flirting’s not going to work.’”
The show was filmed from February to April so it’s actually done. Yes, the two Pinoy contestants already know who’s won but because they signed confidentiality agreements, they can’t really share any more info about those who made it far or those who won, according to ABS-CBN.
Guess we’ll have to tune in and find out if a Pinoy won “The Apprentice Asia.”
